A previous edition, kept separate.

In the 2025 adult black-belt gi open class, the official archive lists Erich Munis dos Santos as the male winner and Gabrieli Pessanha de Souza Marinho as the female winner. This is a historical comparison of the same named category, not a combined career title count.

Name the event.

A title needs an organizer and an edition. Similar names do not establish that two competitions are the same championship.

Keep the division.

Preserve belt, age group, discipline, and weight or open class. The details explain the achievement rather than diminish it.

Check the source.

A podium supports finishing position. A claim about every opponent or submission requires a bracket or match record.

Where no-gi fits.

No-gi has its own championship events and competitive systems. Do not transpose this gi table into an ADCC or other no-gi list. Start with the no-gi guide for event-specific context, then use the organizer’s own results for any title claim.

The complete world-champions guide explains how to document titles consistently and avoid double counting between weight and open-class achievements.
