Respect the journey.
An independent guide for a sport with more depth than a number beside a name.
Know the rank. Respect the journey.
JiuJitsuRank.com is an independent editorial resource for people trying to understand jiu-jitsu belts, competitive records, and the context behind the sport. It connects a practical belt guide, a selected black-belt directory, dated ranking tables, championship results, and longer articles about gi and no-gi learning.
The central idea is simple: a useful record explains what it means. A belt is not a points total. A points total is not a universal prediction. A championship title belongs to an event and a division. Keeping those distinctions visible makes the sport easier to explore.
What you will find here.
The directory contains ten selected public competition records. The ranking section labels its publisher, category, and snapshot date. The championship page keeps event editions and divisions intact. The Rank Journal turns common questions into in-depth, practical reading.
What we do not claim.
We do not award belts, certify instructors, provide a universal register of every black belt, or claim affiliation with IBJJF, ADCC, or an academy. An editorial directory entry is not a guarantee of coaching suitability, and a missing entry says nothing about a person’s qualifications.
Training articles offer questions and planning frameworks to discuss with your instructor. They are not individualized coaching, medical advice, or instructions to attempt unfamiliar submissions without supervision.
Keep the record useful.
Read the editorial methodology to understand inclusion criteria and verification boundaries. A public primary source is the most useful starting point for a correction. Send a precise reference through the contact page, without private identity documents or sensitive personal information.
Bring a better question to the mat.
Start with the belt guide. Stay for the records, the context, and the learning.
