There is no cross-organization ranking being calculated on this site. We use the phrase as a route into worldwide BJJ competition context, then identify the actual publisher and categories for every table. The source’s adult black-belt gi lists should not be relabeled as all-ages, all-belts, or no-gi lists.
The IBJJF describes a ranking system based on placements and weighting. Consult its athlete ranking information for the organizer’s current methodology. We preserve the season label seen on the ranking page rather than silently recalculating it from a potentially different edition of the methodology.
A total tells you the output of the system that counted it. It is not a probability of winning a future match, a promotion entitlement, or a rating of an athlete’s coaching skills. An absent name is simply not included in this displayed selection.
No-gi events, master divisions, colored belts, and other organizers have different competitive contexts. We do not fabricate missing tables. Use the no-gi event guide to find the right rules and category questions, and the championship archive for event-specific title records.
When sharing a position, retain the publisher, category, season label, and capture date. For a current registration, seeding, or ranking decision, consult the organizer directly. If a source changes, that does not turn this historical capture into a live update.
